The Challenge
The ModeSathorn hotel in Bangkok (Thailand) needed a new responsive website for the booking engine we were implementing. It wanted to benefit from the rise in mobile usage with a UX that matched the values it wanted to convey.
As Quality Assurance Manager at Roiback I was personally responsible for both the design and the implementation of the project, with three main pillars:
- Hands-on design from scratch and frontend work
- Building a framework (Python, Bash and LESS/CSS) for replicating and customizing projects for new clients
- Creating a design guide and best practices to set the foundation for future development
The Solution
- New company-wide frontend framework that makes it easy to create reusable templates while staying adaptable to all kinds of clients and UX-friendly across devices
- New website 100% focused on the customer
- Detailed customization to meet each client’s requirements
- Quality Assurance guide to set the foundation for future developments
The Results
- 200% reduction in delivery times for new customized client projects
- 90% increase in bookings from mobile devices
- Long-lasting implementation: originally launched in 2015 and still in use more than 10 years later
